In the present scenario where social, economic, physical and mental health problems are on the increase and as the government is progressively withdrawing from the service sector, an alarming situation has arisen where the poor and the marginalized find it extremely difficult to get quality healthcare and even decent livelihood. It was at this juncture that the concept of the Foundation for Social Health arose in the minds of a group of committed individuals who were all active in their individual capacities, but it felt it necessary to pool their resources to do some effective and creative social intervention.
Value StatementThe Foundation for Social Health believes in the empowerment of children (all individuals) through life skills training and community based interventions, and regard it as an approach to promote peace, harmony and general well-being among all people in building a nation with strong values.
